If you have not already go back and read the rules (This will be a hyperlink, hence blue and underlined), page before sumitting an application, since failure to follow the channel rules will result in you being released from the channel.

If you submit your character via email, please keep in mind that we will NOT come looking for you, its here to make sending in applications easier for you, and us. Visit our channel and wait for your application to be processed and be sure to tell a channel operator that you applied via email. We prefer applications be sent in .TXT format. Also, keep a .txt formatted file copy of your application! We are NOT responsible for lost, or missing applications, so make sure you have a copy for your records. If a DCC transfer is needed for your character application, do NOT send it to ANYONE except an OP (@). Please send your email applications to : applications@hentai-rpg.com

Application Guideline

DO NOT LEAVE ANY DETAILS OUT OF YOUR CHARACTER DESCRIPTION! If your character has an eye patch, cat ears, tail, warts, VD, i don't care, it MUST BE IN YOUR BIO! If you add things to your character during play that ARE NOT IN YOUR BIO YOU WILL BE DISMISSED! I'm sick of people doing this to us, so don't apply unless you're going to describe your character in detail.

Starting characters may NOT be power laden, and cannot be more powerfully than characters already in the RPG. This reason is simple, We do not like power gamers/players here, and it is unfair for a new character to have powers exceeding characters that have been in play for years already.

On the last 2, Background and Powers, be SPECFIC! DO NOT BE VAUGE! EX.: If your character is a magic using type, explain where he or she got her magic schooling from, how powerful it is, what kinds of things can this person do with the magic (fireballs, lightning, etc), how they can gain more magic over time, etc. Failure to do so will make the app process longer, and could have unfortunate results.

Do NOT assume that your character will be instantly liked by everyone in the mansion, also, do not place your character in a working position at the mansion (Maid, Groundskeeper, cook) without asking an OP FIRST, even before you submit a bio. The mansion is a close-knit community and to have someone 'suddenly' appear working there, without even us knowing about it till now isn't right, nor how we do things.

If your character is a tabletop RPG translation, keep in mind your character stats mean NOTHING in this RPG, and do not compare our characters to your characters RPG system.

Character Creation Considerations:

#Hentai-RPG Tokyo and Japan:

With all that's happened to Tokyo in the 5 years this RPG has been in operation, the city has undergone some changes, both physically and mentally. About 2 years ago, 75% of the city was razed in an orbital laser strike, most of the city is now rebuilt and Tokyo is back to what would be considered a normal state. Memories and emotions are still hot as to who to blame for this event, so super powered beings, aliens, and humanoids are still eyed with suspicion. The Mansion itself is NOT A famous place, while some famous people live there, they have done their best to make sure the general population does not know they live there. Therefore people coming from all over the world will NOT have heard of the mansion until they are in the Tokyo area, and hear about a good place for rent, see a commercial for the mansion, or see one of the many flyers for it. Tokyo's technology is the highest in the world, and is about 30 years or more, ahead of the world (and about 60 ahead of the real word) in all areas. Mecha is still finding its place in Japan and is NOT common (see Mecha section). Guns (Firearms, energy weapons) are not as banned in our Japan as they are in the real world, but most private citizens do NOT own firearms of any type. Energy weapons are avilable only to mega-corps, and the military, so be sure to ask if you want your character to have these weapons available to them.

A note on languages: Japanese IS the primary language spoken in japan, and at the mansion. While most characters are multilingual, some are not. While it is not nessecary in the slightest, you may wish to have your character have a basic understanding of the japanese language. Off world characters might not have this choice, but that should not diminish the level of play they will be involved in.

The Rest of the World:

The rest of the world, is pretty much as it is today, while with most anime, Japan is the center of the universe, this RPG is no exception. The USA and all major countries have not changed much from their real life versions, except in the areas of Technology, which is higher slightly in areas. For specifics, it might be best to ask, rather than assume, and the particulars can be too much to list for a page such as this. (see Rabbit-Sama for questions regarding this)

Anthromorphic (Furry)/Half-animal (ears and tails, but full human looks) Characters

People with animal ears or tails are NOT common place on this earth, think of it as an anime earth with fairly normal things happening. People with animal ears and tails that DO exist are slowly gaining acceptance (one is even the head of a multinational technological conglomerate company), and some people might freak out if they saw them. So if you decide on such a character, consider a few things such as: 1) Where did your character come from? i.e.; is he/she an escaped experiment from a genetics lab? (and if so, what about the company that created them? are they still after your character? if not, why? and if so, what resources will they have to track them?). 2) is your character an offworlder? From a different planet? dimension? (and again, if so, what is their planet or dimension like? were they trying to escape to get 'here'? or are they an explorer?

Technological Characters

While Technology IS raising greatly in an anime way, meaning mecha, super-weapons, etc, doesn't mean that they're common place. Currently, only 3 'groups' have such technology in any capacity and are still fairly new to the world. what this means to you is that unless you have very specific op approval, and a very good story, high-tech things are limited to off-world characters (dimensional travelers/extra-planetary visitors, etc). Mecha is flat out not allowed for a starting character, and even later, gaining a mecha is subject to op approval, and again, must have a GOOD IN CHARACTER reason for being acquired. Remember, while we do have action scenes and missions, the focus of the channel is on character interactions and relationships.

Fighter Types

Those of you with Martial Artist backgrounds should have full descriptions of where they learned their art, what it entails, a partial move list if possible, how long they have been doing it. etc. Ki/Energy blasts are subject to op approval, and don't load your character with DBZ class, planet destroying beams, or your app WILL be tossed out. Stick to your style. If you're using a speed-based style, have techniques that are fast, not strong. Also, Elemental ki is allowed, just keep the amount to a minimum. Preferably one, but two is alright. Just keep the powers that come with that element related to it. E.g.. You can't have someone who's using darkness to suddenly heal a person, since it relates to death and destruction. Also, newbie characters can NOT be more powerful than established characters, its not fair to people who've put years of work into character development just to have someone show up and instantly be better.

Mecha Pilots

EVA and GUNDAM pilots will most likely NOT get their mecha, EVA's will most definitely NOT be allowed into the RPG. Gundam's could with some work, but it is not likely. We don't have anything against Mecha here, and they do appear in the game, but they're not really good from a PC standpoint in this RPG. Smaller, personal suits, such as powerarmor are acceptable within reason, and are subject to OP approval.

Magic Users

Mages/etc are acceptable in this RPG, though within reason. You have to give a detailed explanation as to their style of spell-casting, some of its history, and how it differs from other kinds of magic. Remember, magic in our everyday world is exceedingly rare, so there should be a reason behind why the character can even use magic in the first place. Characters from other worlds, of course, may have a higher chance of being magically inclined, but a detailed explanation is still your best friend. A list of at least some of their magical abilities would be good, so that we can get a better example of what your character can and can't pull off. Details as to how they would develop their potential would also be important. There's a big difference between improvement from practice, and from stealing the souls of all the mansion tenants, after all. ^^; If you are considering a magical character so you can "hand wave" to cast any sort of spell, or if you are considering them just because it would "be cool," I would recommend against this type of character.
