HOW TO POST YOUR CHARACTER'S ACTIONS

The thing about RPing is that you post for your character! So, to do that, we use aliases, which has been given its own 15 minutes of fame, then that said character’s action. ^^ Anyway, to do that, let’s go into the simple explaination of how to post for your character, ne? ^^

Here, you see the character Setsuna posting IC (In Character) speech. Simple, ne? ^^ IC speech is different from OOC (Out Of Character) speech, as it includes quotation marks. OOC is, as the name implies, out of character, and thus just for joking around.

Here’s an example of OOC speech, which doesn’t contain any quotation marks. This is the sort of stuff that your character wouldn’t normally do, which in Setsuna’s case, is do ^^ faces, or talk in a rather loud manner. Some people use SD (Super Deformed) or Chibi (Small) characters for their OOC jokes, such as SD Keiko and Chibi-Yatena.

Here’s an example of the character doing an action. This helps show that the character is doing something, instead of just talking and sitting there like a statue.

And this is a thought bubble. Obviously, it’s to say that the character is thinking silently to himself.

Now, let’s mix it all together like so, and you’re on your first step to being a good RPer. ^^ Obviously, IC and OOC text don’t mix very well in the same post, so please keep to either making an IC post or an OOC one.
